Dr. Matthew Mutter is an Urologist. BORN and RAISED IN Metairie, and after graduating from Jesuit high school, dr. matthew mutter went on to get his BS in kinesiology from lsu then returned back to new Orleans and completed his medical school training in 2015 from the university of tennesse health science center in Memphis, tn. After staring in Memphis with university of Tennessee as a clinical instructor or urology for 1 year, he then joined lsu dept of urology in new Orleans as an assistant professor in 2016. He has been practicing medicine for over 14 years and is highly rated.
His clinical interests include general urology with a focus on men’s health, benign prostatic disease, erectile dysfunction and urinary stone disease.
He is a memebe of several hospital committees at both university medical center in new Orleans, la and east Jefferson general hospital. Additionally, he serves a a member of the grant committee for the sexual medicine society of north America. (SMSNA)
When not at work, Dr. Mutter enjoys time with his wife, Lauren, and their 3 children, cookie and fine-tuning his BBQ skills he acquired in Memphis.
Last but not least, he takes a great pride in his aesthetically pleasing lawn and garden, which is superior to all.
Avoyelles Hospital is proud to welcome Dr. Austin Williams to its ever-growing team of physicians. As a board-certified Family Medicine Physician, Dr. Williams will be providing primary care through Avoyelles Hospital’s Rural Health Clinics along with physician services through the hospital to patients of all ages and medical conditions.
Born and raised in Vick, LA, Dr. Williams, has always taken pride in being an Avoyelles native. Before attending medical school at LSU Shreveport, Dr. Williams received a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Louisiana Tech. Fitting to his roots, Dr. Williams was awarded the “Family Medicine Country Doctor Award” at his 2019 graduation. In 2022 he completed a three-year Family Medicine Residency at LSU Ochsner in Shreveport. During his residency he gained valuable experience in family medicine, women’s health, minor procedures and joint injections.
Dr. Williams has since moved back to central Louisiana with his wife, Kelsey, and their children.
